Description:
This position involves working 3 shifts of 12 hours each.
Shifts are scheduled during the night from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
You will be required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Floating to various units may be required, including MAU, MBU, and OBSC.
The unit typically cares for laboring patients and has a high acuity level.
The environment includes a Triton and SurgiCount system.
This role includes responsibilities such as assisting in high-risk deliveries and managing various procedures.
You will be part of a team that provides interdisciplinary support.
Patient age groups include neonates and adults.
The unit has 18 beds and a daily census of 16 patients.
Skills needed include administration of blood products, utilization of fetal monitors, and management of complications during labor.
You will work closely with various support teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Requirements also include passing a compliance EKG exam.
Traveling nurses may be floated to any campus as needed.
