Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Georgia
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling flexibility; 3 weekend shifts per contract; call requirements of 2 calls per 6-week period for AM and PM shifts
Highlights:
- Work in a busy 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 6-bed triage and average daily census of 15 patients
- Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity; deliver 200-300 births per month
- Epic EMR system required; facility uses Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
- Comprehensive case mix including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and D&C procedures
- Team-based collaborative environment with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract; Spring Break blackout dates apply (April 4-12)
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; previous travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred
- Epic EMR experience required; must be proficient in 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios
- Clinical skills must include labor support, vaginal delivery assistance, cesarean section circulation, high-risk delivery, fetal monitoring (external and internal), medication administration including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate, postpartum care, and triage assessment
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); full compliance documentation due Tuesday prior to start date
- Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Availability to work major holidays as assigned per facility policy
