Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Active Registered Nurse License (Pending licenses accepted) Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS Must-Have: - Fetal monitoring experience - Experience in high-risk obstetrical care - Ability to cross-train to Mother/Baby and float to NICU as needed Description: The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in labor and delivery. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal heart rates and assessing patient statuses. Nurses will assist in cesarean sections and postpartum care. Candidates should be familiar with both low-risk and high-risk obstetric populations. Management of complications such as preeclampsia and gestational diabetes is expected. Experience with electronic health record systems is necessary for proper documentation. Candidates should be prepared to handle emergencies and recognize abnormal fetal patterns. All staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. This position requires working every other holiday and weekend shifts, averaging around 36 hours per week.
