Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with an 8-bed capacity
  • Manage patient ratios of 2:1 for labor patients and 4:1 for couplets (mother/baby)
  • Perform and assist with deliveries, labor support, and postpartum recovery
  • Conduct newborn testing including CCHD screening, Newborn Metabolic Screening, Bilirubin, and Hearing Screening
  • Operate fetal monitoring equipment; document care using Meditech and CPN EMR systems
  • Float occasionally to serve as a sitter in the ED or Med/Surg as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Labor and Delivery experience required - candidates without this will not be considered
  • Nursery experience required - candidates without this will not be considered
  • ACLS certification required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
  • CEFM or AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • C-Section experience strongly preferred
