Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting throughout the duration of the contract assignment
  • Monitor fetal status and maternal well-being during labor, utilizing electronic fetal monitoring
  • Float to Mother Baby unit to care for newborns when Labor and Delivery census is low
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Adhere to unit protocols, policies, and evidence-based practices in obstetric nursing care
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
  • ACLS certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Fetal Monitoring certification required
  • Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • STABLE Program certification
  • Experience floating to or working in a Mother Baby / Postpartum setting
  • Familiarity with high-acuity obstetric patient populations
