Key Responsibilities
Provide couplet care (mother and newborn) with an expected ratio of 3 couplets per nurse
Assist with labor and delivery, including active labor management, Pitocin administration, and epidural monitoring at a 1:1 ratio
Support cesarean sections in circulator, first assist, or scrub roles as needed
Perform OBED triage, inductions, and postpartum and newborn care
Collaborate with night shift team including clinical coordinator/charge nurse, birth response nurse, and L&D nurses
Float within the Maternity Care Center unit only - no facility-wide floating required
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
Minimum 2 years of OB/Labor and Delivery experience
