Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,008 per week in McAllen, TX

Location: McAllen, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating weekends. Unit operates 24/7 with day and night shift options. Patient ratios: 1:2 for labor, 1:4 for antepartum. Unit includes 14 labor beds, 2 OR suites, 6 recovery bays, and 8 antepartum beds.

Highlights:

• Work in a well-equipped 40-staff Labor & Delivery unit with comprehensive perinatal services
• Manage labor, perform vaginal deliveries, assist with cesarean sections, and support antepartum care
• Utilize Meditech/Centricity Perinatal EMR and GE EFM equipment
• Typical procedures include labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, bilateral tubal ligations, D&C, magnesium and Pitocin drip administration
• Opportunity to circulate in the L&D operating room (preferred skill)
• May float to antepartum and postpartum units as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS, NRP, and Intermittent EFM certifications required
• Strong labor management experience is essential
• Ability to circulate in L&D OR preferred
• Positive, compassionate, and flexible demeanor
