Description:
The unit has 15 labor rooms, 3 bed triage bay, and 2 operating rooms.
There are 45 staff members across day and night shifts.
Patient ratios are typically 1:1 for laboring patients and up to 1:3 for early labor/antepartum/triage.
The unit uses various equipment including electronic fetal monitors, IV pumps, and maternal telemetry monitoring.
Candidates should be comfortable independently managing laboring patients and high-risk pregnancies.
Experience with induction, fetal monitoring, vaginal deliveries, and immediate postpartum care is required.
Preferred experience includes high-risk obstetrics, magnesium sulfate administration, and cesarean sections.
Ideal candidates demonstrate strong assessment skills, effective communication, and teamwork.
They should be adaptable, patient-centered, and capable of responding to obstetric emergencies.
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential for this role.
