Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $1,963 per week in McAllen, TX

Perform and assist with procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, bilateral tubal ligations, D&C, uterine tamponade devices, and magnesium and Pitocin drip titration. Provide direct patient care on a Labor & Delivery unit with 14 labor beds, 2 ORs, 6 recovery bays, and 8 antepartum beds.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Labor & Delivery unit with 14 labor beds, 2 ORs, 6 recovery bays, and 8 antepartum beds
• Manage labor patients at a 1:2 ratio and antepartum patients at a 1:4 ratio
• Perform and assist with procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, bilateral tubal ligations, D&C, uterine tamponade devices, and magnesium and Pitocin drip titration
• Operate GE Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) equipment and document using Meditech/Centricity Perinatal EMR
• Float to antepartum and postpartum (OB assignment only) as needed
• Maintain active NRP certification and demonstrate proficiency in labor management

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Intermittent EFM certification required
• Demonstrated proficiency in labor management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to circulate in the L&D OR
• Experience with GE Electronic Fetal Monitoring equipment
• Familiarity with Meditech and/or Centricity Perinatal EMR systems
