Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a Labor & Delivery unit with 10 LDRs and 2 OBEDs, maintaining patient ratios of 2:1 (high-risk cases may be 1:1 or 2:1 if stable)
  • Perform and assist with procedures including Cesarean sections, BTLs, and salpingectomies
  • Function as O.R. Circulator as required by unit needs
  • Utilize EMR systems including CPN (Centricity) and Meditech for accurate and timely documentation
  • Float to postpartum or medical floor as needed (medical floor float in a tech capacity only)
  • Fulfill expected schedule of 4 weekend shifts per month and participate in on-call rotation as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN licensure in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
  • Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification - candidates without this will not be considered
  • ACLS certification - required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification - required
  • BLS certification - required
  • O.R. Circulator experience - required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification preferred but not required
  • Bilingual candidates will be given priority consideration
  • Scrub tech skills are a plus
