Experience circulating in c-section in the labor and delivery area. Ability to recover high acuity patients. Description: Travel RN position in Labor and Delivery. The unit primarily serves high risk obstetric patients. Staffing ratios are maintained per established guidelines. Cervical ripening is conducted at a 2:1 ratio. Triage is managed at a 3:1 ratio. Stable postpartum patients on magnesium are at a 2:1 ratio. Unstable patients on magnesium or laboring patients are at a 1:1 ratio. Patients in active labor or receiving pitocin are at a 1:1 ratio. Early labor patients are generally at a 2:1 ratio. The unit consists of 24 beds. Documentation is done through a designated system. Staff are scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts weekly. Ability to float to the antepartum unit as needed. Attendance policies must be respected. Dress code requires clean scrubs and professional appearance. Body art must be covered as much as feasible. Visible piercings other than in the ears are prohibited. All staff must maintain a neat and clean appearance.
