Description:
Labor & Delivery unit with 10 Labor Delivery Rooms (LDRs) and 2 Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED) rooms.
The unit staffs 24 bedside RNs.
Day shift core staff includes 3 RNs, 1 Scrub Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary.
Night shift patient ratios are 2:1 for most patients and 1:1 or 2:1 for high-risk patients if stable.
Typical equipment includes EMR, CPN (Centricity), and Meditech.
Cesarean sections and BTLs/Salpingectomies are common procedures performed on the unit.
Candidates who are bilingual and possess scrub tech skills are preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a compassionate personality and be a team player.
Four weekend shifts per month are required.
