Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: The unit features 14 labor beds, 2 operating rooms, 6 recovery bays, and 8 antepartum beds. There are 40 staff members assigned to the unit. During day shift, the staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 3-4 RNs along with 1-2 CSTs. Night shift staffing consists of 1 charge nurse and 3-4 RNs, with 1-2 CSTs. Patient ratios are 1:2 in labor and 1:4 in antepartum. Equipment used in the unit includes GE EFM and CPN EMR Meditech/Centricity Perinatal. Typical procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, bilateral tubal ligations, D&C, uterine tamponade devices, magnesium drip and titration, and Pitocin drip and titration. The ideal candidate should possess a positive, compassionate, and flexible personality. Floating areas include antepartum and postpartum for OB assignments. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs. The unit follows specific guidelines and policies. Weekend shifts will be rotating.
