Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 3 weekend shifts per month; 1 call shift per month required

Highlights:

  • 12-bed Labor and Delivery unit in a dedicated Women's and Children's facility
  • 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with support from unit secretaries and OR techs
  • Documentation systems include CPN and Meditach
  • Comprehensive patient care including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, cerclage placement, and epidural anesthesia support
  • Tub labor options available for patient-centered care
  • Shared decision-making model emphasizing patient experience

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) OR C-EFM
  • Experience with care of laboring patients, newborn care immediately after delivery, and circulating/recovering cesarean section patients
  • Ability to float to other units as needed per facility policy
