Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, including 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per month. Floating policy applies with travel staff floating first.

  • 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio ensuring quality care and manageable workload
  • Full scope of practice including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, cerclage placement, epidural anesthesia support, and tub labor
  • Collaborative team environment with RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs working together
  • Documentation systems include CPN and Meditach
  • Shared decision-making model promoting patient-centered care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
  • Current RN license
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (not Advanced) OR C-EFM certification required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Advanced skills in care of the laboring patient, newborn care immediately after delivery, and ability to circulate and recover cesarean section patients
