**Job Description:**
- **Location:** Smyrna, TN
- **Unit Name:** Women’s Services
- **Patient Bed Capacity:**
- 9 Labor & Delivery beds
- 3 swing rooms
- 2 Operating Rooms
- 3 bed OBED
- **Patient Ratios:**
- 1 nurse to 2 patients
- **Staffing Support:**
- Unit Secretary and Scrub Tech available
- Dedicated CRNA and Midwife in-house 24/7
- OBGYN on call
- **Documentation System:**
- CPN and Meditech
- **Scheduling Requirements:**
- 4 weekend shifts per month
- **Floating Policy:**
- Able to float to maternal/baby units or outside department for tasks
- **Patient Experience Expectations:**
- Maintain satisfaction scores above 75%
- **Certifications Required:**
- RN, ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring
**Candidate Skills and Qualifications:**
- **Must Have:**
- Passion for delivering the highest quality of care to laboring patients
- Ability to support patient choice and encourage vaginal birth opportunities
- **Advanced Skills:**
- Knowledge of Spinning Babies, STABLE preferred
- **Procedures Performed on Unit:**
- Circulating in OR
- Intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
- Fetal Scalp Electrodes (FSE)
- Magnesium Sulfate administration
- Postpartum hemorrhage management (JADA system)
- Nitrous oxide implementation
**Dress Code:**
- Required uniform:
- Hot pink and black (preferably hot pink on top)
