Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3×12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) | On-call required (2 twelve-hour shifts per 6-week period) | Every third weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including couplet care, with patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets
- Manage and monitor high-risk OB patients within established clinical protocols
- Participate in on-call coverage as required by unit scheduling needs
- Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Administer and manage medications utilizing the Omnicell medication system
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as directed, including during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- AWHONN Beginner and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
- FHM and NRP certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
- STABLE certification preferred
