Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Will be required to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays as needed per department needs. Labor and Delivery nurses provide critical care to expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth.
