Description:
The unit has a total of 12 beds with patient ratios of 1:2.
Staffing includes RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs.
The unit is equipped with a documentation system.
Scheduling requires 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift for RNs.
Travelers are the first to float according to the floating policy.
Shared decision making is essential to patient experience.
Advanced skills required include care of the laboring patient and immediate post-delivery care.
Procedures performed on the unit include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor.
Staff must comply with unit-specific policies and guidelines.
Scrubs must be in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray, as the facility does not provide them.
Recognition and awards for the department highlight the tenure and experience of staff.
New equipment and technology may be available to enhance the work environment.
The schedule options may provide flexibility to staff.
