Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: CA License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Excellent Critical Thinking Skills Fetal monitoring experience C-Section Circulator and Post CS recovery Vaginal Exams experience Care of the laboring patient, including C-Section and Vaginal delivery and recovery Care of the high-risk antepartum patient, including Gestational Hypertension and Gestational Diabetes Knowledge of Obstetrical Emergencies, including Ob Hemorrhage Care of the newborn within the first hour of life, including Breastfeeding and initial latch Description: The unit has 9 Labor Delivery Recovery rooms and 4 additional beds for triage and outpatient testing. Typical procedures performed include Labor and Delivery Management, outpatient testing such as NST, CST, BPP, OB Triage, and cervical cerclage.
