Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department located in Maine. This position involves caring for patients throughout the childbirth process, including labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The role requires RN certification and experience in high-acuity obstetric settings, providing comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.

Job Details:

  • Certifications: RN with BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring, MOAB skills required
  • Education Requirements: Active Registered Nurse license
  • Location Requirements: Maine, valid RN licensure
  • Years of Experience: 0+ years minimum
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Support on the Unit: Unit secretary (dayshift only), Bed Flow Facilitator (dayshift only), CST (24/7), charge nurse (24/7), phlebotomist, anesthesia (24/7), on-call OB providers, support staff including family medicine residents, certified midwife, and designated backup staff
  • Technology/Equipment: Cerner electronic medical record, fetal link, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, fetal monitoring via Fetal Link
  • Floating: Floating to Mother-Baby unit may be required for Antepartum, Postpartum, or occasional Mother-Baby care
  • Orientation: 1 day with HR/preceptor, 1 day OR/PACU training, 1 day night shift preceptor follow-up
