First Connect Health has an immediate travel contract opening for an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) in Issaquah, Washington (Greater Seattle Area). Operating within the renowned Swedish Medical Center Issaquah Campus—frequently referred to as "Issa-spa" for its state-of-the-art environment, top-tier culture, and strong team camaraderie—this high-grossing position offers a structured 4x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $3,576.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $2,380.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $23.00/hr (40 regular hours)
  • Overtime Rate: $34.50/hr (8 weekly OT hours included)

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 48 total hours weekly (40 regular hours + 8 overtime hours).
  • Weekend Requirements: Rotational weekend shifts as scheduled.
  • Holiday Perk: Excellent holiday flexibility—unit only requires travelers to work 1 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, or New Year's/Eve), allowing you to request up to 2 major holidays off!
  • On-Call Requirements: Standby call rate is $15.00/hr (call-back rate is billable at 1.3x).
  • Clinical Scope & Ratios: Unit features 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms with staffing ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:3. Responsibilities include labor management, preterm labor, triage, sterile vaginal exams, C-section circulating and recovery, scrub (preferred), transition nursery, GYN surgeries, and postpartum couplet care.
  • Medications & Complex Care: Administration of blood products, Heparin, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate, PCA/epidural pumps, and IUPC placement/monitoring.
  • Floating Requirements: Floating to Postpartum (based on skill set) and potential float to L&D at Swedish First Hill sister facility.
  • EMR System: Epic EMR (experience required).

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical Labor & Delivery RN experience is required. First-time travelers accepted!
  • Licensure: Active Washington RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License must be in hand at submission (facility honors active compact licenses).
  • Certifications Required: * American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
    • ACLS is preferred.
  • Local Candidate Policy: Local candidates are accepted at the exact same travel rate!
  • Rehire Policy: Former permanent staff from other non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation.
