Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Shift: Night Shift – 3 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Overtime: After 40 hours
Charting System: EPIC

BLS

Experience Requirement: Minimum 1.5 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience. Candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered depending on their clinical experience. 1.5 years is a hard stop.
We are seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, experience managing high-risk pregnancies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maternity care environment.
Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rates, and uterine contractions throughout labor.
Provide nursing care during labor, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean section procedures.
Perform maternal and fetal assessments and promptly identify potential complications.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments.
Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during labor and delivery.
Interpret fetal heart rate patterns and recognize signs of fetal distress.
Provide immediate postpartum care and monitor maternal recovery.
Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC.
Follow infection control guidelines, patient safety protocols, and facility policies.
Active RN license valid for the assignment in California.
Minimum 1.5 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications.
Previous EPIC charting experience.
Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based maternal and newborn care
Med Ninjas Job ID #19152. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
