Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Location Not Specified. This position involves providing care to patients in a high-risk obstetrics setting, including antepartum, postpartum, recovery, and womens health patients. The role requires managing complex cases such as major maternal or fetal complications and supporting the full spectrum of obstetric and neonatal care.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery or a related field.
- Location Requirements: Experience in high-risk obstetrics highly preferred; must have valid licensure.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Will handle patients undergoing labor, delivery, postpartum, recovery, and womens health procedures, including high-risk cases. All nurses participate in antepartum, labor, postpartum, and neonatal care. The unit performs approximately 250 births per month with in-house Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Staff must be adaptable to float across different OB areas; online training and unit-specific orientation are provided.
- Certifications required at submission: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP.
- Experience requirement: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience during the past 2 years.
- Shift notes: Available shifts are nights, every other weekend; must work a mix of major and minor holidays.
- US native language proficiency is required.
- Submission requirements: Valid license to submit.
