Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position available in a high-volume, fast-paced healthcare facility. Focused on providing specialized maternity care, the role involves supporting high-risk deliveries, functioning as a Baby Nurse during childbirth, and continuing newborn care until transfer to postpartum. The position requires high-risk obstetric experience and the ability to work in high-acuity environments.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, start date 10/19/2026, end date 01/18/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid compact license, 1 year of high-risk obstetric experience, BLS certification, NRP certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Float: Float to sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby services, antepartum, postpartum, NICU, or other units as needed, following AWHONN guidelines.
• Patient Diagnoses: Midwifery clients, private obstetric practices, adult recovery services supporting substance recovery, community care clinics, supporting electronic fetal monitoring.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: High Risk/High Volume Labor and Delivery, all types, with 4 Operating Rooms. Experience in high acuity, fast-paced environments preferred.
• Unit Responsibilities: Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, perform neonatal assessments, provide newborn care including eye care, Vit K injections, and assessments, and support postpartum care.
• Additional Requirements: Must circulate during deliveries, assist with high risk or vaginal deliveries, and respond to emergency procedures such as c-sections. Rotation includes working every other weekend and holidays; specific scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted upfront.
