Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse located on the West Coast. This position involves providing high-quality obstetric care within a busy unit that supports labor, preterm labor, and postpartum patients. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a hospital setting.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred)
  • Education Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with current Epic Electronic Medical Record experience.
  • Location Requirements: Valid compact license in the state, with a local radius of 50 miles.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in labor and delivery, including attending all deliveries and high-risk deliveries.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Circulating, attending all deliveries including high-risk cases, supporting GYN surgeries, postpartum, and neonatal nursery care. Experience with blood product administration, epidural and PCA pumps, magnesium sulfate, and sterile vaginal exams is required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have attended high-risk deliveries and some specialty procedures such as cardioversion and the use of intrauterine pressure catheters. There may be some floating to postpartum units as needed, based on skill set.
  • Submission Requirements: Responses to work history at Providence facilities and references covering 1 year are required prior to start date.
