Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position is based in a healthcare facility and involves providing specialized care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. This role requires active participation in obstetric and neonatal procedures, as well as supporting high-risk pregnancies and newborns. The position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule, with a commitment of at least 48 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, or obstetric care, with experience in vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and newborn care. Certifications required include ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating for cesarean sections, high-risk obstetric care, and managing epidural, PCA, and insulin therapies.
- Additional Information: The candidate must be able to assist with special procedures such as start of adult IVs, blood/blood product administration, and use of specialized equipment like epidural pumps and PCA pumps. Traveling professionals should be flexible to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed; refusal to float may result in contract termination. Candidates are expected to commit to working three of the five designated holidays and must include all scheduling requests upfront during submission. References covering the past three years (or six months for CNAs) are required in the compliance process.
