Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week. Assignment duration through December 26, 2026 (91 days). 8 hours of non-billable orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Work in a beautiful Lake Tahoe setting at nearly 6,200 feet elevation in a Level III Trauma Center
• 8-bed unit with approximately 300 births per year; no deliveries before 35 weeks gestation
• Comprehensive perinatal nursing role including pre-labor/triage, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care with training provided in nursery and lactation skills
• Care for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twins; day shift performs outpatient fetal stress tests
• Independent practice environment with 3 RNs always staffed; RN provides autonomous care during nights and weekends
• Multiple openings available; pairs of travelers are welcome to apply together

Requirements:

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5 years or greater preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Current Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (NCC or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced course accepted)
• STABLE certification preferred
• Significant neonatal resuscitation experience required
• Completion of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
