Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Concord, New Hampshire. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a labor and delivery setting, working with an integrated special care nursery and postpartum unit. The role requires assisting in deliveries, neonate care, and supporting the neonatal intensive care unit as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, start date 08/24/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 3-4 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN). Previous postpartum experience is preferred but not required. Experience with Level 2 SCN or NICU is necessary. Ability to assist in deliveries, start neonate IVs, manage babies on C-PAP, perform tube feedings, and handle withdrawal management.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to postpartum or pediatrics if needed, but unlikely for the traveler.
  • Additional Information: The unit supports an 18-bed labor, delivery, and postpartum area integrated with the special care nursery. It handles deliveries of babies born at 32 weeks and above, with a typical neonatal census of 2-5. The RN staff are trained in postpartum care and either NICU, SCN, or labor and delivery. Responsibilities also include assisting with cesarean sections, neonatal procedures, and managing infants on respiratory support.
