Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in en_US The organization is seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse to join the team on a dayshift schedule. The role involves providing specialized obstetric care in a hospital setting, managing laboring patients, and supporting postpartum care to ensure maternal and infant well-being.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), ACLS, AWHONN Advanced*, AWHONN Intermediate certifications, BLS, NRP, at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with a minimum of 1 year of travel or hospital-based experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with community hospital environments, trauma level II experience, and familiarity with the Epic charting system.
- Additional Requirements: Float rotation may be required; past experience in Labor and Delivery including sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and use of EFM (External Fetal Monitoring).
- Responsibilities: Providing patient-centered obstetric care, assisting in vaginal and cesarean deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum assessments, administering medications, and supporting high-risk obstetric patients.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to inquiries regarding previous work at Providence facilities, including location and dates, and provide two references covering one year during the last three years.
