Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in a healthcare facility offering specialized care for obstetric and neonatal patients. This role involves providing high-quality patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with an emphasis on clinical expertise in labor management and neonatal assessment. The position requires the ability to work night shifts and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience with labor and postpartum care; valid nursing license with a compact license must be in hand at submission; Certifications include ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NRPN (Nursing Restricted Permit Number).
- Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Advanced certification.
- Additional Requirements: Must have experience in labor and postpartum patient care, neonatal assessment, and management of obstetric emergencies. Ability to work independently and adapt to a high-acuity environment.
- Travel Experience Required: No
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPN
- Skills: Proficiency in administration of blood and blood products, neonatal and maternal assessments, fetal monitoring including use of external fetal monitoring systems, labor management, postpartum care, neonatal resuscitation, and sterile procedures related to obstetrics.
- Unit Specific Details: This position is for a labor and delivery unit with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and radiology. Candidates must be flexible to float between units as needed.

- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work night shifts, be committed to working 3 out of 5 major holidays, and include all RTO (Request for Time Off) requests at the time of submission. Candidates should not contact the facility directly unless for an approved interview. Two references covering the past year are required, and travel experience should be verified.
