Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specialized in Labor and Delivery (L&D) for a float pool position within the Women & Infants Hospital unit. This role involves floating between labor and delivery and antenatal care units, providing care during night shifts. The assignment is scheduled to start on 11/02/2026 and concluding on 01/02/2027, with shifts predominantly held at night for 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts. Every weekend required. Flex position; shifts predominantly nights.
  • Required Qualifications: Active registered nurse license (or compact license if applicable to Rhode Island), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, fetal monitoring certification (required for Labor & Delivery). Minimum 2 years recent labor and delivery, antepartum, or high-risk obstetrics experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Float pool or multi-unit adaptability.
  • Additional Information: This position involves working in a float capacity between labor and delivery and antenatal care units. Clinical duties include fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetrics care. Candidates with no time off requests will be preferred. Shifts are predominantly night hours, with the potential for additional responsibilities related to high-risk obstetric care.
