An L&D (Labor and Delivery) Nurse is needed in a healthcare facility to provide essential obstetric care. The assignment begins on November 3, 2026, with a duration through February 2, 2027.

Job Details

  • Certifications and Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), advanced fetal monitoring, and NCC (National Certification Corporation) certified inpatient OB (RNC-OB). The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in L&D.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Managing high-risk deliveries, ensuring postpartum care, and handling obstetric emergencies with the ability to work independently during delivery.
  • Additional Requirements: Candidates must be comfortable with running and managing deliveries solo, be teamwork oriented, and have postpartum and L&D experience. They will not be required to scrub in for C-sections but will cover this if needed.
  • Certifications to Submit: Valid professional certifications as listed above.
  • Other Details: Float to medical-surgical or intensive care units may be requested rarely and only if desired. The orientation period on the unit lasts 2-3 days.
  • Charting System: Cerner Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring system.
  • Holidays: Work into permanent staff rotation, with every other weekend requirement.
  • Other Notes: Must be comfortable managing deliveries independently, and familiarity with fetal monitoring is required.
