- Position Description: Delivers patient care through the nursing process by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. Administers medications, monitors patient responses, and guides ancillary personnel. Maintains accurate patient records, documents assessments, and communicates pertinent data to care team members. Demonstrates proficiency as a charge nurse, utilizes computerized nursing informatics, and participates in quality improvement activities. Maintains safety and blood/body fluid policies.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required. Successful passage of Pharmacology exam. Documented attendance at Fetal Monitor Course every 2 years (Intermediate or Advanced). Current certification in American Academy of Pediatric Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP). Recent obstetrics (OB) experience within 2 years required.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Participates in patient assessments and safety protocols, maintains ongoing professional development, and may serve as a resource regarding patient care and staff education.
