Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a hospital setting. The position involves rotating among multiple perinatal units, providing high-risk obstetric care, and supporting postpartum and neonatal patients. This role requires cross-training across all three units and a strong focus on maternal and neonatal health.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California state license, two years of combined Labor and Delivery (L&D) and postpartum experience, and at least one year of experience in obstetric nursing. Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Association of Womens health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Advanced and Intermediate certifications, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, charge nurse experience, and additional obstetric certifications.
- Float: Float rotation to postpartum and Hillcrest LDRP units may be required.
- Additional Information: This role is part of a Perinatal Float Pool, requiring cross-training among all three perinatal units and competencies in both labor and postpartum care. The assignment runs from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026, with start dates biweekly on 09/21/2026 and 09/28/2026. Candidates must be available for one additional overtime shift every two weeks, with manager-provided notice.
