Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) The healthcare provider seeks a dedicated registered nurse experienced in labor and delivery care to join the team in a busy department. The role involves delivering comprehensive prenatal, delivery, and postpartum nursing care while coordinating with obstetric and neonatal teams in a dynamic hospital environment. This position offers an opportunity to support patients during critical moments and contribute to positive maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor, Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, clinical experience in labor and delivery department preferred, no minimum experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute care facility in labor and delivery
- Additional Information: The role involves collecting and analyzing patient health data, developing and implementing care plans, and providing education to patients and families. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential to ensure safe, effective care and proper discharge planning. The position requires adherence to hospital policies including vaccination mandates, with exemptions considered per policy.
