Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse will be providing care at a medical center located on a university campus. The role involves circulating in the operating room as the primary nurse, obtaining vital signs and glucose levels from newborns, and caring for high-risk labor and delivery patients. This position is scheduled for night shifts, with a start date of October 5, 2026, and includes working 36 hours per week during 12-hour night shifts.

- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, two or more years of experience in labor and delivery, experience in high-risk labor and delivery environments, familiarity with circulating in the operating room as a primary nurse, competency in obtaining vital signs and glucose from newborns, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, EPIC electronic medical record system experience preferred, and ability to float to antepartum/postpartum units.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for couples in labor, neonatal and obstetric skills, and ability to work with high-acuity cases.
- Additional Information: Contracts will include at least one-third coverage during winter holidays. The assignment involves caring for high-risk labor and delivery patients and performing responsibilities in accordance with hospital protocols and standards.
