Job Description
Riverside Community Hospital is seeking experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a busy labor and delivery unit. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and providing safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
- Perform non-stress tests (NSTs) and cervical examinations.
- Manage labor and administer/titrate medications as ordered.
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including McRoberts maneuvers when indicated.
- Provide transition nursing and newborn support, including baby-catching responsibilities as applicable.
- Provide couplet care when floating to the Postpartum unit.
- Maintain accurate documentation using CPN and Meditech systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
- AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification/competency required.
- Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Ability to provide couplet care when floated to Postpartum.
- Flexibility to work weekends and meet unit staffing needs.
