Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring active CA RN licensure and NRP certification.

Details

• Obstetrics Acute unit setting
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• Current NRP certification required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum two years of specialty experience required, with recent experience in the last three months
• No candidates with a prior hit on license will be considered

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned OB patients following established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct nursing staff activities while coordinating care with other disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnoses, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and effective care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
