Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in Modesto, California. This role involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The candidate will be responsible for managing high-risk obstetric patients, assisting with various delivery procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced labor and delivery department.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: CA RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NRP certification, at least 3 years of experience in fetal monitoring, and experience with adult cardiac arrest, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, postpartum care, and fetal monitoring.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult cardiac arrest, neonatal resuscitation, high-risk obstetric procedures, and use of Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM).
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves supporting an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. Clinical duties include managing high-risk pregnancies, performing sterile exams, assisting with deliveries, and providing postpartum care. Candidates must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide accurate work history for verification. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date.
