Job Summary:
Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing care to women in the postpartum period, supporting maternal and newborn teaching, and managing post-operative bladder training. The position is scheduled for days shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
Job Details:
- Position: Registered Nurse Postpartum Floor
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 10/06/2026
- End Date: 01/02/2027
- Required Qualifications: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience; graduate of an accredited nursing program; valid registered nurse license in the state where care is provided; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (ANRP); demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring, IV skills including lab draws, high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin), urine point of care testing, capillary blood glucose testing, and IStat. Also, proficiency in adult cardiac monitoring, newborn monitors (pulse oximetry, cardiac monitoring), heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns, IV administration and maintenance in newborns, Bili-blankets/lights, radiant warmers, and supporting teaching for maternal-newborn and postpartum care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field; minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience; minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience; minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
