Postpartum Floor Nurse in the L&D PP specialty, located in an unspecified healthcare setting. This role involves providing care to postpartum and labor and delivery patients, with responsibilities including managing maternal-newborn teaching and post-operative care. The position offers a 12-hour day shift starting on December 2, 2026, through February 27, 2027.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications:

    • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
    • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
    • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring and IV skills, including lab draws
    • Knowledge of high-risk medication administration such as Magnesium, Oxytocin, and Insulin
    • Ability to perform urine point of care testing and capillary blood glucose testing
    • Knowledge of IStat and adult cardiac monitoring
    • Proficiency with newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
    • Ability to perform heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns
    • Knowledge of newborn medication administration, including IV administration and maintenance
    • Familiarity with Bili-blankets/lights, radiant warmers, and maternal-newborn teaching
    • Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience, minimum 3 years of postpartum experience, and 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience is preferred
