Job Details

  • Qualifications: Required certifications include ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) (pending certificates acceptable). Must have 3 years of experience in labor and delivery, with previous charge nurse experience, patient ratio experience, and proficiency with community hospital charting systems.
  • Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Responsible for antepartum and labor & delivery care, assisting with high-risk deliveries, maintaining sterile procedures, and using electronic fetal monitoring equipment. Care includes managing anticoagulation therapy, administering antihypertensives, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and supporting neonatal care for patients ranging from neonates to adults.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric cases, familiarity with interdisciplinary support services such as respiratory and radiology, and competency in sterile vaginal exams and fetal monitoring.
  • Additional Information: Floats to like units within the scope of practice may be required as per facility needs. Unit has 15 beds and handles an average of 100-200 deliveries per month. Duration of assignment is from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026.
