Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) for a hospital in Del Rio, TX. This position involves providing advanced care for mothers and newborns in a labor and delivery department. The role requires experience in labor and postpartum care, including neonatal resuscitation and fetal monitoring.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Days
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Orientation Dates: 10/05/2026, 10/12/2026, 10/19/2026, 10/26/2026
- Certification Requirements: Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Location Requirements: Must have Texas (TX) or compact license on file at time of submission
- Experience: 0 years minimum required, must have 2 years of experience and prior travel experience in labor and postpartum care
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates stability in previous roles
- Additional Information: The candidate will work every other weekend and 1-2 major holidays. No floating required. The age of patients served includes childbearing-aged individuals. The department includes 5 labor beds, 2 observation/antepartum beds, 10 postpartum beds, and 3 specialized care nursery beds. EMR systems used are Meditec and GE Connect for labor, nursing, and delivery.
