Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department nurse in en_US. This high-acuity position involves caring for patients in a large volume, high census facility with high-risk obstetric cases. The role requires managing postpartum care and delivering specialized obstetric services to a diverse patient population.
Job Details:
- Certifications: BLS, NRP
- Education & Experience Requirements: Valid State License with a compact license in hand at submission; at least 2 years of high-risk obstetric care experience, including magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley catheter management, postpartum hemorrhage management, and vaginal delivery.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid State License with a compact license in hand; at least 2 years of high-risk obstetric care experience, including magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley catheter management, postpartum hemorrhage management, and vaginal delivery.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic medical record experience, JADA experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with high acuity postpartum care, magnesium sulfate, postpartum hemorrhage, substance withdrawal, and EPIC system. Ability to handle census surges and manage up to four patient couplets is required. Candidates should be flexible to work weekends, with at least 3 of 5 holidays per contract, and may be required to float between nearby facilities.
