Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse provides coordinated nursing care to antepartum (antenatal) and postpartum (postnatal) patients, as well as normal newborns, following established nursing standards and the nursing process.

The RN is responsible for assessing patients, planning and implementing care, monitoring maternal and newborn conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes. The nurse may also supervise and direct assigned nursing staff while exercising critical thinking, independent judgment, and professional discretion.

Unit Details:

• Provides antepartum and postpartum care.
• Cares for normal newborns.
• Does not include Labor & Delivery (L&D).
• Gynecology patients are not included.
• Requires coordination of care and supervision of assigned nursing staff.

Ideal Candidate:

• Registered Nurse with relevant antepartum, postpartum, or Mother-Baby experience.
• Experience caring for postpartum mothers and normal newborns.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient-care coordination skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
