Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse - Night Shifts - Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care within the Labor and Delivery department of the healthcare provider. The role requires flexibility to float between different units such as postpartum and nursery, as well as adherence to hospital policies and protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with couplet care, circulating in operating room, and proficient fetal monitoring.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as per hospital policy.
  • Additional Information: The assignment includes orientation of 1-2 shifts, and the hospital can cancel up to four shifts within a 13-week period or three shifts for shorter assignments. The unit has 12 labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum (LDRP) rooms or suites, with specific protocols including self-reading fetal monitors and adherence to AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios. The environment is acute care, level 3 trauma designated, with shifts covering nights and every other weekend, no holiday coverage required, but on-call may be necessary.
