Job Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania RN license or current multistate compact RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery nursing experience or related women’s health clinical specialty required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience in a fast-paced hospital or acute care environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under physician direction
- Use the nursing process to individualize care for patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians, peers, and other members of the health care team
- Direct nursing support staff in the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care
- Maintain practice in accordance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures
- Support compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic labor and delivery unit
- Provide clinical support during childbirth, monitoring, and postpartum care as needed
