Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves assessing, planning, and delivering specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. The position requires applying current clinical practices and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice or a temporary/interim RN license; BLS certification is required; experience in the specialty area for which applying is desired; must maintain clinical performance competencies as demonstrated through annual validations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is preferred; professional certification is preferred; additional related education and/or experience are advantageous.
- Additional Information: The nurse will perform all functions following established policies, procedures, and professional standards. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, formulating and implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, documenting all care activities accurately, and collaborating with the health care team. The role may involve supervising staff and working with diverse internal and external contacts to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
