Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in an academic medical environment. Provides specialized nursing care for obstetric and neonatal patients, supporting physicians and the healthcare team in delivering patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: ASN, Advanced AWHONN or Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification, NJ State Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS from the American Heart Association, NRP, 1+ year of experience in labor and delivery or antepartum preferred.
  • Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required, 3 out of 6 holidays required, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Position Responsibilities: Evaluate patients, assist physicians with patient care, develop and coordinate individualized plans of care, perform therapeutic interventions, manage patient care, document according to standards, advocate for evidence-based practice, provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing models.
